Super 2L Championship 2024

Super 2L Denmark – Round 1, Padborg Open (2024)

Qualifying:
The first qualifying of the year ended P11. The session was tight, with less than a second separating most of the midfield. I had good pace early on, but hit traffic on my quickest lap, which cost a few tenths. Still, the car felt balanced, and it gave a solid base for the weekend.

Race 1:
The race started with a lot of movement in the midfield, and it took a few laps to find clean air. I struggled slightly with race rhythm and ended P13, but stayed out of trouble and kept the car clean.

Race 2:
After some setup adjustments, the balance improved. I managed to settle into a more consistent pace, making a few passes and keeping pressure on the group ahead. Finished P11, gaining experience with tire wear and traffic management.

Race 3:
A smoother race with fewer incidents and better pace over the full stint. I kept the car in the pack and moved up to P10 by the flag. Overall, a decent start to the season — no major mistakes and a good base to build from.

Super 2L Denmark – Round 2, Åbningsløbet, Jyllandsringen (2024)

Qualifying:
Qualified P12, just behind the mid-pack. The lap was clean but lacked a bit of aggression in the braking zones. Still, the car felt predictable, and race pace looked stronger than qualifying pace.

Race 1:
Got a clean start and stayed close to the group ahead. I found good rhythm mid-race and managed a few solid overtakes, crossing the line P9 — my best finish so far.

Race 2:
The second race was stronger overall. I got into a consistent flow early and could maintain pace close to the front runners. After several laps of tight racing, I finished P7, showing that the pace was starting to come together.

Race 3:
The final race of the weekend had changing conditions and slightly less grip. I kept things steady, avoided unnecessary risks, and brought it home P10. Another clean and productive round with visible progress in consistency.

Super 2L Denmark – Round 3, Ring Djursland (2024)

Qualifying:
Qualified P5, a season best. The lap was clean and confident, and I felt comfortable pushing the limit around the short, technical layout of Ring Djursland.

Race 1:
Got a strong start and stayed with the leaders early on. Unfortunately, contact while fighting for position caused damage that ended the race with a DNF.

Race 2:
Reset mentally and focused on a clean drive. I kept a steady pace throughout and finished P7, gaining back some points and confidence.

Race 3:
Track grip dropped in the final race, and overtaking was tough. Managed to keep a consistent pace and finished P11. Even with mixed results, the overall speed was promising, showing that front-running pace is possible when everything aligns.

Super 2L Denmark – Round 4, Grand Prix Danmark, Jyllandsringen (2024)

Qualifying:
The best qualifying of the year so far, finishing P4. The lap was tidy and confident, and it felt good to line up near the front of the grid for the first time.

Race 1:
Held position well in the opening laps and stayed with the top group. The car was quick in the high-speed sections, and I crossed the line P7 after some intense mid-race battles.

Race 2:
A chaotic first lap with contact in the midfield ended the race early with a DNF.

Race 3:
Mechanical issues forced another DNF. Despite the bad luck, the pace from qualifying and Race 1 showed clear front-group potential. It was a frustrating weekend result-wise, but an important one in terms of learning how to handle setbacks and pressure.

Super 2L Denmark – Round 5, Night Race, Padborg Park (2024)

Qualifying:
Qualified P14, focusing mainly on the car’s handling in cooler temperatures rather than one-lap pace. Visibility under the lights was a challenge, but the setup was stable for race distance.

Race 1:
The opening race was chaotic, with several incidents in the early laps. I focused on keeping clear of trouble and finished P15. Not the ideal start, but the car stayed in one piece for the next two races.

Race 2:
Conditions improved, and I found much better rhythm once the track cooled. Lap times were stronger, and I worked my way up to P8, showing good progress.

Race 3:
Another clean race with similar pace to Race 2. I stayed consistent and crossed the line P8 again. A solid recovery after a tough start, and strong night-racing experience gained.

Qualifying:
Finished P13 in the final qualifying of the year. The car felt well-balanced, and I aimed for consistent races rather than over-pushing early.

Race 1:
Got a clean getaway and maintained steady pace, finishing P10 after consistent laps and avoiding mistakes.

Race 2:
Heavier traffic in this one, and overtakes were difficult. Lost a bit of time mid-race but recovered to finish P12.

Race 3:
The final race of the season was clean and controlled, ending P9. It was a strong, measured way to finish the season — no mistakes and solid pace to close out the year.
