Mitjet International 4H of Barcelona 2024
Mitjet International – 4H Barcelona (2024)
The 4-hour Mitjet International race at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya was my debut at the track and my first time competing in a long-format endurance event with the Mitjet 2L.
The weekend started well with solid pace in both practice sessions. I quickly got comfortable with the car on the Barcelona layout, and our setup worked well from the start. During the early sessions, we focused on consistency and pit stop routines, which turned out to be a key factor during the race itself.
When the race began, we immediately settled into the lead group and quickly moved to the front. The pace was strong and consistent throughout the first three hours, and we managed to hold the lead comfortably for most of the race. The team executed clean pit stops and strategy, and everything ran smoothly until the final hour.
In the closing stages, a miscommunication from the marshals caused an unexpected situation that forced us to slow down and ultimately lose the lead. It was frustrating after running at the front for so long, but we still managed to bring the car home in P2 overall.
It was a tough but valuable race that showed our pace and teamwork across a full four-hour run. Even though the win slipped away late, the performance and execution proved that we could compete at the front in endurance racing conditions.
