12H MUGELLO 2026
Conrad Leveau won the 12H Mugello together with his teammates Paul Meijer and Martin Rump after a strong start to the season.
The team set the pace already in qualifying, taking P1 in all three sessions and starting from the front of the grid. Martin Rump took the start and got away well, but the opening hours were not without issues. Problems with tyre pressure dropped them down to P3 early on.
The pace was there throughout, and it didn’t take long to fight back to P2. From there, they were battling Red Camel for the lead during the entire first part of the race, with small margins making the difference.
In the first part, Red Camel had better timing with Code 60, giving them an advantage and better tyres for day two. That meant the starting point for the second half wasn’t ideal.
However, on the second day, the team executed better. The strategy worked, pit stops were solid, and all three drivers delivered consistent stints without mistakes. Gradually, they turned the race in their favour and started to pull away.
In the end, they built a gap of around 50 seconds, which they controlled all the way to the finish.
A solid start to the season.
